About the Event

Rose Hegele performs Kamala Sankaram's solo voice and electronics work, "Ololyga," at The Music She Writes virtual concert series. 

The Music She Writes highlights the diversity and significance of music by Asian Female Composers within the contemporary music landscape. This series of four virtual concerts features 25 diverse works by female composers across Asia, ranging from Iran to Japan. The concerts will be broadcasted every other Friday at 7PM ET on April 1st, 15th, 29th, and May 13th 2022. Admission is FREE. This initiative is supported by the Eastman Departmental Diversity Initiative, and organized by Eastman School of Music alumni composer Ania Vu and pianist Eunmi Ko.
